The Dragon Band is gearing up! They have been practicing all summer. They will be playing/performing at all our home HS games and will be traveling with us to most of the away games. Come on out September 2nd to see them perform and play at the Cedarville home game.
New bleachers are going up today for our visitors' side at Dragon Field. Along with the new bleachers, there is also a new fence going up around portions of the field. Football season is almost here. Hope you will join us on September 2nd at home as we take on the Cedarville Pirates.

We are nearing the end for seniors, with only about a week to go. Many traditions and ceremonies are happening or about to happen. Each year our cafeteria staff puts on a big lunch for our seniors. This year it was a taco bar, brownies, strawberries, and tea. While they are eating in the cafeteria, the cafeteria walls lined with pictures of former graduates surround them. Many graduates have parents who graduated from Mountainburg High School (15 this year). To picture the continuity of the families and the traditions, I ask those graduates to find their parent and point to them so I can photograph them. Hopefully one day their children will be able to do the same with their senior picture.

I am so proud of the progress this band makes from year to year. You all truly give us pride in our school and in our music program. Thank you, Mr. Kain, for all you have done.
Below are a few pictures from today's concert.

A couple of our students have entered an art contest recently wherein they had to use a Vans shoe and create an object that is full of local flavor. Here are their submissions. Great job, girls!

Congratulations to our FFA Judging teams on a job well done this year. We had a great amount of growth and learning this year, and we have a solid foundation for next year. This year we had teams for Food Science, Forestry, Land, Electricity, Livestock, and Horse.

MHS Student Council recently led a school wide activity period. They introduced us to several new games. All were crazy, all were fun. Thanks, STUCO!
