Band Is Gearing Up

The Dragon Band is gearing up! They have been practicing all summer. They will be playing/performing at all our home HS games and will be traveling with us to most of the away games. Come on out September 2nd to see them perform and play at the Cedarville home game.

New Bleachers

New bleachers are going up today for our visitors' side at Dragon Field. Along with the new bleachers, there is also a new fence going up around portions of the field. Football season is almost here. Hope you will join us on September 2nd at home as we take on the Cedarville Pirates.

We held the 2016 Baccalaureate this past Sunday. The program was led by the churches of Mountainburg.

AG Class

Drama Production

The MHS Drama Class recently put on a production of The Importance of Being Earnest. They did a great job and keep improving every year. Good job!

Senior Luncheon, Senior Connections

We are nearing the end for seniors, with only about a week to go. Many traditions and ceremonies are happening or about to happen. Each year our cafeteria staff puts on a big lunch for our seniors. This year it was a taco bar, brownies, strawberries, and tea. While they are eating in the cafeteria, the cafeteria walls lined with pictures of former graduates surround them. Many graduates have parents who graduated from Mountainburg High School (15 this year). To picture the continuity of the families and the traditions, I ask those graduates to find their parent and point to them so I can photograph them. Hopefully one day their children will be able to do the same with their senior picture.

2016 Spring Band/Choir Concert

The 2016 Spring Band/Choir concert was held today at the HS gym. We had wonderful performances from the choir, Sr. High band, beginning band, and combined band. Next year we anticipate over 55 band member in HS band!

I am so proud of the progress this band makes from year to year. You all truly give us pride in our school and in our music program. Thank you, Mr. Kain, for all you have done.

Below are a few pictures from today's concert.

Interesting Visitor Today

We had a very interesting visitor today for English class. As part of a speech/project that students presented today, this little guy was the main prop. Gotta love the rural life in Mountainburg!
